I mounted this 43.8V 18A charger inside the protected electrical compartment of my boat, where it is connected to a 36V 50Ah LiFePO4 battery. The charger feels solid, and the Anderson connector makes it easy to disconnect without removing the wiring every time.

After a fishing trip, the battery was showing approximately 38% remaining. The charger brought it back to full in a little over two hours, including the slower charging stage near the end. The output remained stable, and the LED indicators made it easy to follow the charging status.

The cooling fan comes on during operation and is noticeable, but the sound is reasonable for an 18A charger. More importantly, the housing stayed at a normal temperature throughout the charge. Since this model is intended for a dry or protected location, I installed it where it will not be exposed directly to rain or water.

So far, it has been reliable and considerably faster than the lower-current charger I used before. The wiring, connector, and overall construction all feel suitable for a permanent 36V marine power setup.

Asked support if this charger works with non-LiThink 36V batteries. They said yes as long as the battery has a standard LiFePO4 BMS. They asked for my battery's specification sheet. I sent it. They confirmed compatibility within a day. They also warned me that some cheap batteries don't have proper BMS and could overcharge. Good to know. My battery works fine.

I use this charger on two different 36V setups: a 50Ah trolling motor battery and a homemade 100Ah pack. On the 50Ah battery from 30% to 100%, it took 2 hours flat. On the 100Ah pack from 25% to 100%, it took 3 hours 50 minutes. The charger automatically detects the pack voltage. I plugged in the 50Ah first, it started at 18A. Plugged in the 100Ah later, same 18A. No switches or settings to adjust. The fan is louder than the 12V version but still reasonable (about 50 decibels). I leave it charging in my garage and can't hear it from the next room.
